Foyt. Only 67 hand-built cars were produced, and only offered to their most high-profile customers. Representing the ultimate and most extreme track-only Ford GT ever, the new Ford GT Mk IV by Ford Performance and Multimatic is a radically advanced supercar delivering max performance with a specially engineered twin-turbo EcoBoost engine targeting more than 800 HP, a race transmission, a carbon fiber long tail body, plus Multimatics Adaptive Spool Valve (ASV) Dampers and unique suspension. This very special 2023 Ford GT Mk IV offered for sale is Chassis No. 001, the first delivered example finished in a special one-off livery to commemorate the prototype J-car. J-1 was the first of 12 J cars produced and used the new bonded-aluminum honeycomb chassis, which was roughly half the weight of the race-winning Mk II. This new production method helped secure the 1967 Le Mans win with Dan Gurney and AJ Foyt piloting J-5 to victory. When specifying this particular GT MK IV offered here, the goal was to pay homage to J-1 and incorporate some unique design elements from the original, starting with the bespoke livery, which features the Frozen White paint accented with a blue nose, longitudinal roof stripe, door stripes and roundels, just like the paint scheme on J-1. The wheels and side radiators have been painted gold as well. The interior was specified with special blue leather seats with silver grommets, just as the originals had. The two large exhaust tips exiting the rear are powder-coated blue, reminiscent of the original. These unique touches are custom to this example and are not seen on any other Mk IV in production. These options were an additional $100,000 USD over the base MSRP for a total price of $1,806,100. Having never been driven since delivery, this example is an incredible opportunity to own the first, Chassis No. 001, a one-off example of the fastest GT ever built, and its sure to be a true collector's item in the years to come. There is only one, No. 1, and this is it.
